Restoring wood furniture naturally is an easy task. All you need is the following items:

  1. Cup of water
  2. Cup of vinegar
  3. Empty spray bottle
  4. Olive oil

Mix the items together, usually 1 cup of water, 1 cup of vinegar and 1 table spoon of olive oil. You can sand the woof furniture gently before restoring it the natural way. Wipe it with a cloth and you’ll be ready to clean and restore it. This mixture can also be used for your wooden floors, cabinets, tables and door posts or frames.

How to fix water damaged wood furniture

If you’ve got a water damaged wooden furniture piece that you’re trying to restore, here’s a great trick to do so. Water stains and marks are usually a result of not using table coasters, thereby leaving white to light-coloured stains on a table for example. Here are a few simple steps to fix water damaged furniture:

  1. Clean and dry the stain area. Use a furniture polish (you can use the mild liquid soap also).
  2. Use a few drops of orange oil with a wood cleaner. Rub the mix into the stain in a circular motion. Clean the wood with a soft cloth.
  3. Sand the wooden furniture.
  4. Strip the furniture with a chemical agent if needed. You can use a paint brush to do so.
  5. Take a scrapping tool or a putty knife and scrap and clean the surface of the furniture.
  6. Sand it again to remove anything that is left on the surface

  1. Use a non-gel toothpaste along with a soft cloth. Rub the toothpaste onto the surface. Once done, clean the area with a dry cloth. If the mark is still present, repeat again.
  2. Petroleum jelly also works but this takes longer to work, typically overnight. Rub the jelly off the next morning.
  3. Apply furniture wax
